One Year Bible: Day 77 - Numbers 7:1-65; Luke 2:21-40; Psalm 35:1-10
In
Numbers 7, we read of the various offerings which were brought to the
Lord at the dedication of the Tabernacle. In Luke 2, we read of Joseph
and Mary taking Jesus “to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord” (Luke 2:22).
All that the people brought to the Lord had first been given to them by
the Lord. Jesus has been to us by the Lord. All that we give to the
Lord is given as our response to His great gift of Jesus. As we consider
Jesus Christ who has tabernacled Himself among us (“the Word became
flesh and dwelt among us”), we will say, with the Psalmist, “my soul
will rejoice in the Lord and delight in His salvation” (Psalm 35:9).
