In
Leviticus, there are many commands given by the Lord so that the
people of God, walking in obedience to His Word, might enjoy His
blessing. This principle is taught throughout the Word of God – the way
of obedience is the way of life: “Keep My commands and you will live” (Proverbs 7:2). This is not a shallow legalism. It is the result of the working of the Holy Spirit in our lives (Luke 1:15-17).
